Pronounced “grew-yair”, this savory pastry with French ham and gruyere cheese rolled inside. Croissant dough cut into even rectangular pieces. Each piece then gets a slice of Jambon de Paris (Jambon de Paris is a product of Canada but gets its name due to the fact that it is the quintessential French connoisseur's ham, prepared in accordance with traditional European standards. Using delicately seasoned slowly cooked lean whole-muscle pork ensures tenderness and maximum flavor) and a slice of Gruyere King Cut Swiss Cheese. (From Switzerland, this cheese is made with fresh milk brought in twice daily from local farms to ensure the most high-quality product is produced. The cheese is then prepared in copper vats and left to mature in cellars, where expert cheesemakers closely watch the aging process for maximum flavor development. This Gruyere boasts hints of candied walnut as well as warm spice and dried fruits, resulting in a cheese that is just the slightest bit sweet with a luxuriously rich texture. After baking it has cheese melted on top, with chives toasted with a torch.
